We try very hard to give our customers what they are asking, within reason of course, not tell them to make better policies. I have used an application called AutoHotKey to change what CTRL C and CTRL V do but that does not take care of any application being able to copy and paste.įrom what I have seen the best bet would be to somehow set the clipboard history to 0 so that it never keeps anything in it but I am not able to find how to do that. I have been able to disable the ability to right click within the OS. I have also looked at VBScripts being ran or Powershell scripts but those cause high CPU when they are being ran. I have found applications like stopper or prevent but those applications to not have the ability to start them at the time of the user logging and all the user has to do is stop the process to disable them. So what I really need is a viable way to completely disable the ability to copy and paste. The client also knows that the end user will still be able to use screen capture tools and things like taking a picture with their camera.

We cannot block internet on those machines as they need to be able to do research on the types of code that they need to type. I know I can disable the pass through of the clipboard but that does not stop the user typing items into a notepad in the hosted desktop and then copying and pasting that data into gmail or some other web based application.
